To add on our mission, we are conducting evidence based falls preventive exercise program for preventing falls in older people, on every Thursday between 11:00- 1:00 P.M. at PADC, 60 E Hanover Ave. Morris Plain NJ.

Falls result in physical, psychological, social and financial burden for the injured person, family, caregivers, social services, healthcare agencies and the country.

According to the CDC data each year, 2.5 million older people are treated in emergency departments for fall injuries Over 700,000 patients a year are hospitalized because of a head injury or hip fracture. The direct medical costs for fall injuries are $34 billion annually.

The CDC have developed evidence-based fall prevention programs that can improve strength, flexibility, balance and reaction time which are considered the most readily modifiable risk factors for falls. It is observed that Falls Rate can be reduced by 30 % with this program.

About 35 seniors took part on falls preventive exercise program conducted on May 11, 2017.
