International Yoga Day celebrations with seniors

Yoga means UNION in the ancient Sanskrit language. Yoga is a life style management system. The aim is to promote harmonious development in every aspect of the individual to balance with all. Yoga is basically to realize and experience union of joining of individual consciousness to the universal consciousness. Yoga is a perfect description of the science and philosophy to join Body & Mind.
Following this initial proposal, by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his UN address, the UNGA drafted resolution entitled “International Day of Yoga”, on 14 October 2014. For the promotion of global health, harmony and peace the world celebrate International Yoga Day on June 21, every year.
The ParamCARE Foundation celebrated International Yoga Day with seniors on Friday, June 21, 2019, at 60 E Hanover Avenue, Morris Plains, NJ.
Mr. Vipul Amin-The President of the ParamCARE Foundation always plays the lead role for the promotion of holistic health and Wellness, particularly for the seniors. According to him Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice, an invaluable gift to the world from India. Yoga beautiful because it is ancient yet modern. Yoga embodies the unity of harmony between man and nature, mind and body, thought and action, restraint and fulfillment, and holistic approach to health and well-being. Yoga is not about doing exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and nature. Yoga can provide the perfect solution to the problems, what we face in day-to-day’s life, either at individual level or in the society. Yoga is not the name of any specific religion but the way to lead a contented life.
During welcome speech, Mr. Vipul Amin-President of Param Care Foundation explained that human body is just not physical body but has mind, intelligence, emotion, instinct, intuition. And holistic health is a diverse field by which many technics and therapies including yoga are used to treat person as whole unlike the different part in modern system of medicine.
Along with Ms. Bhruna Amin – Director ParamCARE Foundation a large number of seniors learned and practiced various poses of Yoga with yoga counselors. They thanked ParamCARE Foundation for doing wonderful and very useful wellness event for the wellbeing of the seniors.
