‘Diwali Festival’ Celebration & ‘Breast Care Connection’ Seminar

Param Care Foundation intends to initiate accurate awareness and access about availability of abundance resources for continuum of cancer care educational program, in culturally appropriate manner, to improve breast health, encourage preventive check-ups to facilitate early detection of breast cancer, to reduce death-rate due to late stage breast cancer diagnosis.

In the U.S., breast cancer is the second most common cancer in women after skin cancer. One woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every three minutes and one will die of breast cancer every 13 minutes in the US. Breast cancer kills but statistics prove that breast-cancer death-rate can be reduced simply by awareness, early detection, and treatment. Regular check-ups catch most breast cancer in the early stages and early treatment can reduce the mortality.

ParamCARE Foundation in partnership with Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) has celebrated Diwali Festival along with ‘Breast Care Connection’ event on October 30, 2015 at American Legions, Iselin, NJ. This was fun filled festival celebration event along with awareness and educational seminar on breast health. The goal of this event was to encourage, uninsured/ under insured women, to learn about the importance of breast cancer & early screening mammogram. About 53 women from different communities participated and learn about the breast health along with the cultural event.

Mr. Vipul Amin- the president of Param Care Foundation greeted for Diwali and wished for the happy and prosperous life and explained the roll and support provided by the Param care Foundation to fight against the cancer.
